Whether incubating a new start-up company or establishing a new research branch in Canada, NRC Agriculture offers creative ways to get companies off the ground. Under one roof, we help transform original concepts into commercial products.
The NRC Industry Partnership Facility (IPF) located in the NRC Plant Biotechnology Institute opened in 2003 and has incubated a variety of agriculture sector SMEs, including Agrisoma Biosciences, Prairie Plant Systems, Valent Biosciences Inc., and Linnaeus Plant Sciences.
The facility boasts 77,000 square feet of modern laboratory and office space for companies wishing to incubate a plant biotechnology-related research program. Companies have access to a broad range of infrastructure, services and technology, including DNA sequencing, oligo and gene synthesis, microarray synthesis, mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and plant growth facilities.
