ARCHIVED - Computational Structural Analysis

Computational Structural Analysis is the use of computerized methods to predict the response, performance, failure and service life of aerospace structures and materials under various types of loading conditions.

IAR has developed extensive expertise in conducting computational structural analysis using advanced computing facilities, including state-of-the-art hardware and software.

Computational structural analysis plays a vital role in the IAR research programs, and has been applied in many areas. The objectives of the work at IAR are:

  • to develop state-of-the-art methods of computational modeling and integrated design optimization
  • to provide analytical support to other research projects and
  • to develop aerospace computational facilities.
