Dedicated to providing laboratory and office space for commercial activity, the NINT Innovation Centre serves technology startups and established companies that would benefit from locating close to NINT and University of Alberta facilities and expertise.
The NINT Innovation Centre (NIC) occupies the fourth floor of the NINT Building at 11421 Saskatchewan Drive, Edmonton, Alberta on the campus of the University of Alberta. NIC has 2700 m² (29,000 ft2) of laboratory and office space which is rented out at commercial rates. The Innovation Centre revolving door policy allows 15 companies at a time to occupy space and collaborate with researchers in "Canada's flagship nanotechnology institute."

NIC offers services in three main areas:
Start-up companies will have access to $45 million in advanced analytical and fabrication equipment, flexible lab and office space, and professionals who are committed to finding solutions that will ensure success in the emerging field of nanotechnology. Such contract research and facilities access opportunities and the proximity to such expertise make the NINT Innovation Centre more than just a lease of space.
Opportunities for collaborative research projects with NINT and University of Alberta researchers or other tenants are possible. NINT's Business Development Office will assist any interested parties in establishing mutual research or commercialization ventures.
The NINT Innovation Centre works closely with incubation and co-location facilities operated by TEC Edmonton and Edmonton Economic Development Corporation. These facilities offer unique opportunities and infrastructure that may meet your needs.
Situated in the Edmonton Research Park are two high-technology and biotechnology incubators --- Advanced Technology Centre which houses high-technology start-up companies and Research Centre One, a facility that caters to biotech and high-tech companies who have moved from the incubation stage to the prototype or pilot plant stage.
TEC Edmonton's downtown TEC Centre offers laboratory and office lease space with services for technology companies and associated businesses and research groups.
